Diabetic patients need to keep their weight under control in order to maintain their blood sugar levels. So, daily exercise is a must for all diabetic patients, especially for patients who have type 2 diabetes or who have complications in their diabetes. Since it is hard for many individuals to take out time from their daily routine and go to a gym to exercise, here are a few exercises that diabetic patients can do at home.

Go for a walk

If you don’t have time to go to a gym, make sure that you take a walk around your house or in your house for around 20 to 25 minutes. If you don’t have time to go for a walk, try and walk while doing a chore, such as talking on the phone, or you could even take your pet out for a walk. This will help you maintain a stable weight, and will keep you active as well.

Do some physical chores during the week

If you are a working individual, make sure that you do some type of physical activity during the weekend. You could take up gardening, or even clean up your house. You could also wash your car or clean the garage. As a matter of fact, cooking is a good form of exercise as well. So if you enjoy cooking make sure that you cook at least 4 or 5 times a week. Overall make sure that you work out for at least 5 hours during the whole week.
