Don’t overeat

Many individuals have the tendency to overeat during all their meals. Overeating will cause problems for patients suffering from diabetes, or for patients who are at an increased risk of getting diabetes. This is because overeating may lead to a sudden increase in the blood sugar level of the individual. Over a period of time it can cause obesity as well.

Consume a balanced diet

According to several studies, a high-protein diet can help cause insulin resistance. So ensure that you consume some form of protein during all your meals. Apart from protein, make sure that you consume carbohydrates and fats as well. But you should consume all these ingredients in a balanced way.

Don’t skip meals

Not consuming meals at regular intervals can have a derogatory impact on your blood sugar level as well. Make sure that you eat all your meals on time, and don’t keep a long time gap between your meals. Over a period of time, your body will get used to food intake at certain time intervals. Make sure that you follow this cycle to remain healthy.
